Bob Jacobson was born and raised in Murray, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.
After graduation from Murray High School he attended Brigham Young University before completing an LDS Church mission from 1972-74 to Sweden. Upon his return from missionary service, he completed his four year degree from BYU, majoring in English with a minor in history. Four the next four years Mr. Jacobson taught English, reading and Utah history in the Carbon County School District at Helper Junior High School in Helper, UT. In 1981 Mr. Jacobson enrolled in law school at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN, where he graduated in 1984. Upon admission to the Tennessee State Bar Mr. Jacobson began practice in the area of insurance defense litigation. In 1989 Mr. Jacobson became associated with the law firm of Gatti, Keltner, Bienvenu and Montesi where he practiced primarily in the area of personal injury litigation for nearly sixteen years.
In 2005 Mr. Jacobson relocated to Idaho where he practiced briefly at Litster Injury Lawyers before starting The Jacobson Law Firm, P.L.L.C. Mr. Jacobson was admitted to the Idaho Bar in September of2005 and is a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. He is licensed in Tennessee and Idaho.
In 1975 Mr. Jacobson married Bobbie Ann Fuller and they are the parents of three children. Mr. Jacobson's move to Idaho was precipitated by his and his wife's desire to be closer to their grandchildren. Mr. Jacobson is an avid sports fan and enjoys reading as his main hobby and pastime.
